House Speaker Mike Johnson says he would “strongly request” that the House Ethics Committee withhold a potentially damaging report on its investigation into whether former Rep. Matt Gaetz engaged in sexual misconduct, illicit drug use and bribery. Gaetz resigned from Congress this week after President-elect Trump named him as his pick for attorney general.
